Suicide Bereavement Support – After Loss

Spinning image

A space to grieve, remember, and explore the impact of your loss in a way that feels safe and real.

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Losing someone to suicide carries a weight that’s hard to explain. It often brings a complex mix of emotions — shock, guilt, unanswered questions, deep sadness, and a silence that can feel isolating. I understand this kind of loss, both personally and professionally, and offer a space where nothing is off-limits.

There is no “right” way to grieve. Sometimes, it takes months or even years before you feel ready to talk about what happened.

I’ve walked alongside many individuals, couples, and whānau after suicide loss, and I’ve been personally affected too. I understand how disorienting and isolating this grief can be. In this space, you are welcome just as you are—whether your loss is recent or happened a long time ago.

We can talk about your loved one, what you’re carrying, and what it’s been like to navigate the world since. Together, we’ll gently explore how to make meaning, soften self-blame, and find new ways to connect with your loved one who has passed.

If you’ve lost someone to suicide, you may be eligible for free counselling support through Aoake te Rā. This nationwide service is available for both recent and long-ago losses, and no formal referral is needed. If you're unsure about eligibility, feel free to reach out—I'm happy to guide you through the process.
